Marketing Apprentice Helps with Lead Generation in Quantum’s Marketing Department

Penny started her apprenticeship with us in October last year, although she’s not been here for long she’s been a great addition to the marketing team.  Originally from Taiwan, Quantum is the first UK  based Business Penny has worked for.

‘ I had a look at Quantum’s website and noticed that it was well-managed and very professional.  I wanted to become a Marketing apprentice and gain practical experience in the UK.  Quantum is known for its effective marketing strategies and that’s what really attracted me to  want work here at Quantum.  I’ve learned so many new skills since I have been here.   I’ve learned how to do a multitude of tasks on WordPress, including managing and editing the back-end of our website.  I also have used lots of new software such as Hootsuite, which we use to schedule social media posts, graphic design software and email marketing software.’

Penny’s first language is Mandarin, and sometimes she’s found this challenging ‘ English is not my first language, so sometimes I can find it difficult to communicate with customers who have very strong accents, although all of our customers are very patient and nice with me.  As time goes on, I find myself gaining more confidence.  I practice day in and out and I hope to be able to talk smoothly soon.’

Aligning with the Marketing Department’s goals Penny hopes to help create more leads through marketing strategies.  ‘I’d love to continue working in the company and build on my skills and experiences’
