Quantum Sponsor Local Design Engineer’s Football Team
Quantum Controls are always looking for ways to support our local communities, since August 2022-we’ve been proud to sponsor the football team of our very own design engineer, Tom. This season, Thomas Wilkinson, and his team, Eppleton FC are currently sitting 2nd in the Peterlee district premier league.
When speaking to Tom he said of the sponsorship, ‘Quantum sponsoring us has been really great, we managed to purchase the whole team away kits, which I think has really helped bring us together and give us a boost when we are playing away matches. The team are really grateful for the support’.
Eppleton FC had a blinder and started the season off with a fantastic 5-0 win against Easington Lane VMC, since then they have played 9, winning 6, drawing one and only loosing 2, one of whom are currently sat top of the league. In their last 3 games they have managed an incredible 18 goals while only conceding 4, a brilliant return.
If we look back at their best performances of this season, we have to look no further than the third game of the season, which took place on a warm august morning, Eppleton started very quickly, starting the scoring not long after kicking off, with the game ending in a 7-0 thumping of South Hetton Cricket Club.
With Eppleton currently only sitting eight points behind the league leaders, Easington Colliery Welfare, there is every chance with a good run of form to finish the season, they could end up winning the league.
